Peer Review Policy

Every manuscript submitted to Xplore Publications goes through the following process before publication:

1. Editorial screening

On receipt, the editorial team checks that the manuscript fits the scope of the selected volume, follows our preparation guidelines (paper body only in the file; title, abstract, keywords, and all author details entered on the portal), and passes a plagiarism check.

2. Double-blind peer review

Manuscripts that pass screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the subject area. Because author names and affiliations are collected separately from the manuscript file, reviewers do not see author identities, and authors do not learn reviewer identities.

3. Decision

Based on the reviews, the volume editor recommends one of: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. The Chief Editor makes the final decision. Authors are notified by email and can follow progress on the submission tracker using their reference number.

4. Revision and acceptance

Revised manuscripts are re-checked by the handling editor and, where necessary, returned to reviewers. On acceptance, the publication fee (if any) is communicated, and the chapter is professionally typeset and published with its own citation page and PDF.

Timelines

We aim to complete initial screening within one week of submission and first-round review within four to six weeks.
