This policy explains what personal data Xplore Publications ("we") collects on xplorepublications.com, why, and your rights over it. We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and apply the same standards to all visitors worldwide.

What we collect

  • Reader accounts: name, email address, and a securely hashed password, so you can read full chapters and download PDFs.
  • Manuscript submissions: author and co-author names, email addresses, affiliations, optional phone numbers and ORCID iDs, and the manuscript file itself.
  • Contact messages: the name, email, and message you send us.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type) used for security and abuse prevention. We count chapter views and downloads in aggregate.

What we use it for

  • Operating reader accounts and access to full-text content.
  • Managing peer review, author communication, and publication of accepted manuscripts. Published chapters display author names, affiliations, and ORCID iDs as part of the scholarly record.
  • Sending transactional emails about your submissions and account. We do not send marketing email.
  • Preventing spam and abuse (rate limiting, honeypot fields).

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
  • We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We use only essential session cookies for login and security.

Retention

Published chapters and their author information are retained permanently as part of the scholarly record. Unsuccessful submissions and their files may be deleted after the review process concludes. You may ask us to delete your reader account at any time.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your reader account and associated data. Author information attached to published chapters is part of the permanent scholarly record and is corrected via our correction policy rather than deleted. To exercise any right, contact us.
