Publication Ethics
Xplore Publications is committed to the integrity of the scholarly record. Our practices are guided by the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Duties of authors
- Submitted work must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- All listed authors must have made a genuine intellectual contribution and approved the submitted version. Every author must be declared on the submission portal with a working email address.
- Sources must be properly cited; data must not be fabricated or falsified.
- Conflicts of interest and funding sources must be disclosed.
Duties of reviewers
- Review objectively, confidentially, and within the agreed time.
- Declare conflicts of interest and decline reviews where impartiality is compromised.
- Never use unpublished material from a manuscript under review.
Duties of editors
- Judge manuscripts solely on academic merit, without regard to authors' race, gender, religion, nationality, or institution.
- Keep submissions confidential before publication.
- Investigate credible allegations of misconduct and act on them, including issuing corrections or retractions where warranted.
Corrections and retractions
Where significant errors are found after publication, we publish a correction. Where research misconduct is established, the chapter is retracted, the retraction is noted on the chapter page, and the PDF is watermarked accordingly.
Reporting concerns
To report a suspected ethical issue with any of our publications, contact the editorial office with the chapter details. All reports are treated confidentially.
