Abstract –

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly significant in many fields, including law. AI tools are now used for tasks like legal research, case analysis, and predicting court outcomes. This situation raises an important question: Can AI replace human decision-making in the legal system? This paper looks at AI's role in law and its ability to handle tasks typically performed by judges and lawyers.

The paper notes that AI can quickly process large amounts of data and deliver results based on past cases. This capability can reduce time, costs, and human errors in legal work. However, legal decision-making goes beyond logic and data. It also requires human judgment, emotions, ethics, and an understanding of social values. AI lacks these human traits, which are crucial for ensuring fair justice.

The study also points out the risks of relying too heavily on AI, such as biases in algorithms, lack of transparency, and accountability problems. If an AI system makes a mistake, it can be hard to determine who is responsible. The paper explains that current legal systems are not fully prepared to depend entirely on AI for decision-making.
