TITLE : ‘’REDEFINING OWNERSHIP; AI AND THE FUTURE OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Artificial intelligence [AI] is changing the field of intellectual property [IP]very fast. It is challenging old ideas about who creates something and who owns it. Today, AI can create art, music, software, and even new inventions. Because of this, it is becoming hard to tell how much by machines. This creates many legal and ethical problems. Current IP laws are primarily designed to protect human creators, so they do not readily apply to work created by AI alone or by humans.

This paper talks about the main issues related to AI-created content. One major issue is authorship-whether AI can be called the creator, or if the credit should go to the programmer, the user, or the company behind the AI. Another problem is ownership. because it is not clear who should legally own the work made by AI. The paper also looks at liability, especially when AI creates something that copies or breaks existing copyright or patent laws. It also studies whether the current law on copyright, patents, and trademarks is strong enough to deal with AI-related challenges

The paper also discusses how different countries are thinking about changing their laws to deal with AI. Many experts believe that laws should be updated to become more flexible and ready for the future. By pointing out the gaps and confusion in current laws, the paper shows the need for a balanced system that encourages innovation while still protecting human creativity.

IN CONCLUSION, the paper says that the idea of ownership needs to be changed in the age of AI. It suggests creating new and modern laws that can properly deal with advanced AI systems.
