This paper looks at the growing issue of digital colonization, where a small number of global tech companies control large amounts of data, digital infrastructure, and online platforms. This concentration of power has created imbalances in access and economic benefits across countries. It also highlights how developing nations are becoming increasingly dependent on foreign digital platforms, which raises concerns about data ownership, privacy, and inequality.

The study further explores the idea of digital sovereignty as a way for countries to regain control over their digital resources and reduce these imbalances. By examining policies, real-world examples, and global trends, the paper suggests that a balanced approach is necessary—one that protects national interests while also promoting fairness and equal opportunities in the digital world.
